What languages did you learn at school? French? German? a bit of Latin? Well the girls at Westholme School in Blackburn are all learning Mandarin!

Pupils at Westholme School in Blackburn are having lessons in Mandarin Chinese - and it's compulsory!

The school feels it will be a useful business tool for the girls, as China's economy and population grows.

And with school trips to China next year, the girls will get a good chance to practice!
