Morecambe Football Club was first formed back in 1920. The ground Christie Park is named after Mr J B Christie - a former President of the club who bought the ground and left it to the club in 1927.

Morecambe will be playing in the Football League for the first time ever in the 2007/8 season after the Super Shrimps beat Exeter in the Nationwide Conference Play Off Final at Wembley.
