Weekday Presenters

Gary has been the Sports Editor since 1996, but has worked at the station for many years in various guises.

He started his days here as a specialist music contributor to the afternoon programme.

After working in variety of technical roles, he presented the Drivetime programme for three years, and then as a freelance presenter for Sport.

Gary has lived in Lancashire all his life and has so far resisted the temptation to move out of the county, though does state it’s not the money that keeps him at BBC Radio Lancashire!

In his spare time, he still has a healthy interest in music, and is a compulsive reader and documentary watcher.

Gary loves the cut and thrust of the sports desk and says: "It’s organised chaos at times when stories are breaking fast, but at other times it’s just manic!"
