CoastYou are in: Lancashire > Coast > Fleetwood Museum ![]() Fleetwood MuseumThe museum started off in 1974 as a local studies room and in 1993 moved into these premises, the old Customs House, built in 1838 to a design by Decimus Burton. ![]() The museum traces Fleetwood from the past to the present day with information and artefacts about the cargo trade, the fishing industry, passenger services and the town as a holiday destination. You can also find out more here about the local flora and fauna here, when wildlife workshops are run. There are details about these on the noticeboard at the front of the building. ![]() For details of opening times and admission prices, take a look at the museum’s website. Leave the museum and turn right (carry on walking in the direction you were originally going in) heading towards The Steamer pub. This is named after a steamer service to Ardrossan in Scotland which began in 1841. You can often find the Fleetwood Folk Club entertaining the regulars here.
