Mma Precious Ramotswe is Botswana's first lady detective. A traditionally-built beauty, she's been interested in solving puzzles and mysteries since her childhood. Retaining many traditional values, she's suspicious of technology and holds quite old-fashioned ideas about decency. As a detective, she's primarily intuitive and a maverick in her methods. Being less concerned with the law and more so with moral values, she's not often involved with the police and prefers customary law, in all its guises.

Jill Scott is a prolific American soul, jazz and R&B artist, songwriter and actress. Her acting debut came in 2004 playing Donna in a number of episodes of Girlfriends. This led to several film roles including Rosemary in Cavedweller starring Kevin Bacon, Hound Dog, and Michel Gondry's Dave Chappelle's Block Party. Jill Scott is also a two-time Grammy award winner for her debut album in 2000.
