Photo of Chris Video and DVD

Chris owns a video rental store, hiring out videos and DVDs to its members. He decides he needs to use a database.

To start with, Chris wants to have access to a list of all his members, all the DVDs and videos in the store, and all transactions carried out. That way he can keep track of who has borrowed what and also his stock. In order to build his database Chris needs to decide what information to put in it.

key point Information stored in a database is kept in tables. You can have as many tables as you want in a database.
