Kent greeted the Monte Carlo competitors on Dover Hill with a foretaste of the alpine conditions that drivers had hoped to escape until reaching the French mountains.
25th January1990
Gales hit Kent hard and thousands of tress were felled and countless roads blocked. Homes were blacked out and phones lines were severed.
26th January1963A Margate couple reported seeing a loose ice pack heading towards the shore. It had come from Swale or Medway during this harsh winter.
