Pat Marsh

Pat Marsh

Taking pride of place in Pat's family photo album is one of his family enjoying one of many holidays to Cliftonville.

Pat's grandparents moved to Trinity Square in the late 60s and thus began Pat's affection for the county.

His involvement in radio came about almost by accident. As a teenager, Pat lived not far from Kings College Hospital in Camberwell and so was naturally intrigued when a new hospital radio station opened there.

Within a couple of visits he was hooked and spent the next four or five years working for various stations across London.

When one of his colleagues suggested that he send a tape to BBC Radio Medway (as it was then) Pat knew he would have to attract the attention of the station manager, so he enclosed his audition tape in a packet of Cornflakes!

Imagine his surprise when the reply came back wrapped in a packet of All Bran - Pat was then invited to cover the Afternoon Show and he hasn't looked back!

What started as a hobby still continues to be Pat's greatest passion but when away from radio he enjoys Italian food, and cinema.
