CareerDom arrived at the BBC in February 2001, after working as a commercial radio news presenter for eight years in London and across the South. His career highlights so far include presenting a BBC TV programme from the United Nations in New York which included an interview with the late Audrey Hepburn. Reporting from the back of a UN plane as it dropped humanitarian aid over the war ravaged Sudan in Africa and live coverage of the 60th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy. KentDom who was born in Dover says he loves Kent "it is a county that has everything from young and funky Canterbury to the flat vista of the Romney Marsh. It's a county that has it all - sea, sand, countryside and city". AwardsDom is the winner of two Gold BBC Frank Gillard awards for local radio and in 2005 received a Gold Sony radio academy award for his coverage of the 60th anniversary of D-Day. He's been twice short-listed for the British Radio Awards and has received a highly commended title in the Kent Broadcast Journalist of the Year Awards.
