He has spent many years teaching the subject at all levels from amateur to degree, and was awarded a Nuffield Scholarship to further his research and studies in the USA and Canada. He likes nothing better than to pass on his knowledge and leads specialist days on various practical subjects for the English Gardening School, based at the Chelsea Physic Garden in London. Brad has worked for BBC and independent television stations as a presenter and has worked as presenter/adviser on a series of 12 practical gardening videos for Periwinkle Productions. He was researcher/presenter on three official Chelsea Flower Show videos, but then changed sides and became an exhibitor, winning a Silver Gilt medal in 2002, and a Silver medal in 2004. He is author of the booklets to accompany the popular Ground Force series of gardening programmes on BBC television and also wrote the best-selling accompanying 'Ground Force Weekend Workbook' (with Alan Titchmarsh as consultant editor).
