Robert, Tunbridge Wells
Does no-one pause to consider the incredible damage the Pope has done through his traditional stance on contraception. Africa has more Catholic followers than any other continent and is crippled by AIDS. Following the pontif's hard-line stance has condemned millions to an untimely death.

Philip Clements
I should like to convey to all members of the Roman Catholic Church, particularly in Dover and district, that my prayers and thoughts are with them at this time of mourning for the Pope. Other Christians are grateful for his ministry of outreach to those of other denominations and to those of other Faiths. Philip Clements(Revd.),Chairman, Christians together in Dover.

I remember that visit to Kent in 1982 and it was fabulous. The Pope had the most amazing presence about him and his leadership and serenity will be sorely missed in the Catholic Church and beyond. RIP
