Just have to say the Eagle Tavern in Rochester high St on a Saturday night has got to be the best place to start your night off with. They play real good tunes and everybody is in the party spirit so just dances around wherever they are standing. The place gets chockablock by 9.30

Anyone been to Club S on the New Road, Chatham?? What sort of music do they play and what nights are they open and do they have a dress code etc?? Thinking of trying somewhere different this weekend rather than the casino as am a saturday night regular but would like to try somewhere else but that plays funky RNB and hiphop! Looks kinda seedy from outside but if anyone knows anything about the place let me know! Also any other places in medway that play rnb, hiphop on a weekend or during the week would bne a bonus to know, tried maidstone i.e the river bar on a tuesday and strawberry moons on a thursday but i am none too impressed still swear by upstairs in the casino on a Saturday night! I know the place is a cattle market and downstairs music needs alot to be desired but need my weekly fix of rnb! Whispers in Gravesend is very impresive and very classy for Gravesend but as i live in medway it would be ideal to have a venue on my doorstep!! Come on RNB DJS get some new venues up and running for us ladies who love to dance to the likes of Bobby Valentino, Tricky Ricky etc!!!

v-rochester,ikon good music? sorry i just fell off my chair altho saying that the VIP area does play good rnb tunes but the rest of the place just plays really commercial dance music and occasionaly attempts to play hard house. If this is the music that you enjoy then you should head to the source bar as there requirments for dance music is not just that its in the top ten. i admit that moons does play cheese but who doesnt like abit of edam on a saturday night altho to be fair its not that cheesy, i mean come on its not jacks. Went to Strawberry Moon's in the end on Saturday night and i'm probably going to cause commotion, but i thought it was PANTS! It's like a posh Jumpin Jak's! People work there getting up on the bars to dance, i didn't realise we were at Butlins all of a sudden. The main room was like a throw back to when i first went to Blackpool when i was 6 or 7! Whats with all those dodgy strip lights everywhere?! The middle room.....played exactly the same music as down stairs! Not sure if there was a problem with the dj, but it was a bit poxy having to listen to the same stuff all night. And who gave the bloke upstairs a set of bongo drums?! What was all that about?! Maybe its a cultural thing....not my thing though! Considering everyone hypes it up so much, it was a bit of a let down. Oh well, i'll stick to Ikon next weekend! xx

I remember when H20 was Churchills and the slammer before that. The slammer days were excellent, got to say h2o is 100% better than the old churchills. It's managed a lot better and the atmosphere over the weekend is great. They have so many different DJ's from London and from Kent that are masters of their trade. At last we have a venue in kent that appreciates and knows how to promote good RNB and funky house. The ragga & bashment sets are proper.

hey v!im always in moons and i would definately recomend it. Thur are the best night if you like rnb but if you are heading down at the weekend then the music is a mix of chart, cheesy, dance and rnb on the bottom and middle floor however the top bar always plays hard house if that is more your thing. There is also a VIP area which is cool to chill out in, if you ring them up before hand you can get on the guest list that enables you to go in the VIP area and avoid the queqe outside which can get very long. The bar staff are wicked - they offer free shots at the bar and are always getting up on stage for a dance. Look out for guest apperances from celebrities and famous dj`s. The atmosphere is wicked as everyone is really friendly and there are lodsa fit men especially the gillingham footballers that you always find in the VIP bar! (shallow - moi!?) The only downside is that it does get really busy especially on a saturday night so get down there early to gurantee getting in. If you do go make sure you check out the television screens that are always playing amusing footage of random nudists! and make sure you take a trip to the ladies where you can pee while sitting next to your friends in the double cubicles! sorry if i rambled on, if you do go enjoy!

I'm glad they have opened a food bar, the hotdogs and burgers are wicked. Went Casino last friday night, still a laugh in there. Everyone moans about the "chavs looking for a row in there", maybe if they stop looking for trouble they may have a good night! Went to Ignite in Basildon, Essex on Saturday night. I know its not Kent, but well worth it. Hotel right near by if you were worried about where to stay or whatever. Went into Jumpin Jak's first for a few drinks as they have a happy hour, nothing like a good bit of cheesy music before you go out! Also gives you a chance to watch others dance like prats! Ignite used to be Ikon, had a massive makeover. Wicked music, no chewing gum policy so you don't stick to the floor(!), everyone up for a laugh! Going to Maidstone this weekend. Need everyones help. The mate i'm going with doesn't go clubbing much and we're also going to catch up as we haven't seen each other for a while so where do people suggest. Whats Strawberry Moon's like?? x

Casino Rooms - Full of pikeys with parents too, Amadeus - Full of kids with attitude, George Vaults in Rochester and Banks/Source bar in maidstone are alright though, otherwise head to London!

Paul - maidstone...Kents rnb/hip hop scene has gone down hill in the last year or so! Maidstone is not a good place to look for this kind of scene (too commercial wannabees), so if you can get out of town then check out Bar 3Zero in Ashford on Fridays, def Kents best rnb/hip hop/reggae night...or if you can find it then get yourself down to The Hilltop for some serious dancehall! I havnt been for some time but I think its still going! You'll have to get directions tho as I cant remember where it is...sevenoaks way I think!?

Top place Friday night, incredible how they have managed to make it the best place to go on a Sat and a Fri night. Friday nights have really taken off which they deserve too. They have a strict door policy which ensure the place is full of NICE people. Even the doormen are the friendliest ever and you feel that they are looking after you. If there is any troiuble it seems to stop as soon as it starts thanks to vigilant doormen who are in the club as well as on the door. Music is great. They have a new resident DJ Wayne who is the business and he warms up for the Capital God DJ. I have seen Mick Brown and Greg Edwards who are both top. If you are looking for a really good night out you cannot go wrong. Saturday nights are also good. Cabaret acts are excellent, staff have to have a mention because nothing is too much trouble for them. I think they would cry if you said you did not enjoy the place! I had my Hen night there with Robbie Williams. It is the only place to have a hen night. I first took my mum there for her 70th to see the Rat Pack and she had the time of her life. Give it a try. Christine takes the bookings and she is so helpful. The place is amazing. Claire - Swanley
