Tour de France diaryYou are in: Kent > Features > Sport > Tour de France 2007 > Diary On the final day of my 5-day Tour de Kent, I notch up 40kms and take on the final 'King of the Mountains' climb. What is it really like to cycle the Tour de France in Kent. Well, there's really only one way to find out. I tackle the wild roads of north Kent. Dartford to Chatham. I plough on through wind and rain - and pain. Chatham to Tunbridge Wells. I take on the Weald and conquer Goudhurst hill. Tunbridge Wells to Tenterden. An easier day today - but no less eventful! Tenterden to Ashford The final flourish: Ashford to Canterbury, via the final 'King of the Mountains' climb. For 5 days I was strapped to a GPS positioning device and sent out across Kent. Access all my stats. Would you like ketchup with that? We filmed the entire Stage 1 route, then speeded it up... Follow my route in photos - from Dartford to Canterbury via Medway and the Weald.
