The SqueezeYou are in: Kent > The Squeeze > Recession Red ![]() The Recession Red label Recession RedA Kent vineyard has produced a Recession Red which pokes fun at the current econonic climate and Gordon Brown's handling of the downturn. Mount Vineyard in Shoreham near Sevenoaks, has produced 120 cases of its new red wine, complete with a label featuring the Prime Minister. The label reads "despite choking government regulations, serve with whatever food you can afford". BBC South East's Lynda Hardy went for a tour of the vineyard and met owner Jon Moulton and vineyard manager Matt Hollebon.
Matthew Hollebon is still hoping that Gordon Brown will try the 2007 red. He says that everyone has praised its labelling and fun poking at the current economic climate.
