The Millers' Tale
Margaret and Ken have spent over 30 years looking after Meopham Windmill - how appropriate that their surname is Miller!
Driving through the country lanes from Wrotham towards Gravesend, you round a bend just before Meopham village and come face-to-face with the sweeps of one of Kent's beautiful smock windmills.
This is the windmill which has been a central part of Margaret and Ken Miller's life for just over 30 years.
Whereas most people may have to find someone to look after their pet before they book a holiday, Margaret and Ken have to make sure the windmill will be cared for while they are away.
Why is the windmill so important to Margaret and Ken? Here's their story:
Meopham Windmill is open every Sunday afternoon from 2.30pm to 5pm from May to September, for more information call 01474 813518. Margaret and Ken are members of the Meopham Windmill Trust.
