The National Youth Ballet is holding a series of dance workshops at Churchill Primary School in Westerham, where every pupil will have the chance to participate even if they've never danced before. The subject of the workshops is General James Wolfe who was born in Westerham. ![]() General Wolfe lived at Quebec House and died 250 years ago at the victorious Battle of Quebec. The colourful workshops are part of the on-going celebrations taking place in Westerham this year culminating in a Wolfe Weekend in September. Head teacher Judy Duffield explains how the school got involved in the project:
The children are experiencing the rhythms of the tom-tom drums, the war cries and dances of the Red Indians, as well as the marching of General Wolfe and his British troops.
