John Warnett

John is finding training tough

Warnett: the athlete

BBC Radio Kent's breakfast presenter, John Warnett, is donned his trainers and running shorts (urggghh) to raise money for charity.

John, known more for his love of curries than his fitness, ran the London Marathon in April 2009.

He was joined by BBC Radio Kent's sport journalist, Gemma Sterba. They raised £10,000 for the Demelza House Hospice in Sittingbourne.

John says " Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored us. I'm amazed at your generosity. And I can't believe I managed to run 26 miles! It's fantastic we've been able to give a real boost to Demelza House."
