At the end of 2006 Tom Hart Dyke, from Eynsford's Lullingstone Castle, returned to South America for the first time since being held captive for over nine months in the jungles of Colombia. He looked at the country from the top of Venuela's highest peak, Pico Bolivar, but on this trip to Ecuador he went one step further. He took a Video Nation camera with him, and recorded his innermost thoughts. This film follows Tom's trip to Ecuador, collecting plants in some of the most remote locations in the country. As usual, the trip wasn't without incident, but for Tom the most important part was revisiting Colombia for the first time in seven years. Tom tells us about his fears, his recurring nightmares, and the emotional as well as physical, journey he took. last updated: 12/03/2008 at 15:07 SEE ALSOYou are in: Kent > Video Nation > Tom in Ecuador Video NationPopular films on Video Nation right now |
