It's all going Pete Tong

We're not talking rhyming slang here, the legend himself is returning to Kent to help Nic Fanciulli celebrate his birthday at The Loft in Maidstone.

Nic’s Birthday Bashes in recent years have come somewhat of a highlight welcoming the likes of Lee Burridge and Seb Fontaine to help blow out the candles. This tradition continues on Bank Holiday Saturday 25th August (that’s right no work Monday), as Nic shifts the party to The Loft in Maidstone for the very first time, welcoming legendary BBC Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong to headline proceedings.

Like Nic, Pete himself is another local boy done rather good, hailing from Dartford and educated at King’s School in Rochester, before going on to host radio shows on both Invicta (alongside Kent Messenger journalist Eddie Gordon) and BBC Radio Medway (now BBC Radio Kent).

From here he went on to join Capital Radio and then BBC Radio 1 where his celebrated radio show has been broadcast every Friday evening since 1991. This, in addition to his performances at nightclubs across the globe, has given Tong a truly iconic status and made him the UK’s best loved dance DJ and a genuine household name both in this country and beyond. His busy schedule has meant that Pete’s appearances in his home county have been extremely rare in recent years with this upcoming DJ set being his first gig in Kent in 2 and a half years!

Nic Fanciulli is also Kent born and bred, having grown up in Maidstone and educated at St Simon’s Stock. In just a few years he has gone onto become a worldwide superstar with residencies across the planet at the world’s finest nightclubs in addition to huge achievements as a producer and remixer, as evident in his Grammy Award Nomination earlier this year.

In addition to Nic, other DJs who recently played at Electric Gardens and will be showcased at this party include Sam Ball, Mark Fanciulli and Dodek.
