So how can you get the best out of this website?

In this video, the BBC presenter Jeremy Vine shares his tips.

As Jeremy says, journalism is about discovery - and there's a wealth of learning material on here to discover.

Every web page is linked to other pages that offer you related learning and, if you follow the links, you'll almost certainly find and be engaged by learning you didn't know you'd be interested in.

A simple principle

The principle here is very simple: this is a learning site for BBC journalists, by BBC journalists.

We all know that, as journalists, we learn best from other journalists we respect and admire. That's why most of the videos, tips and guides feature experienced BBC journalists who are at the top of their game.

But learning is about discussion too - and on Discussion on CoJo you can get involved in some of the big debates about journalism and editorial decision-making.

You can also join the College of Journalism Facebook group or follow the College on Twitter.
