Joseph Choir Search final list announced
Top 21 choirs revealed. The winner of the nationwide Joseph Choir search, Brampton Primary School in East Ham, performed on the grand final of 'Any Dream Will Do' on Saturday night and we are delighted to announce full list of schools that were selected from all the entries viewed by the independent panel and then put forward to Andrew Lloyd Webber and Howard Goodall. Due to the outstanding quality of the entries, the panel found it extremely difficult to decide on just 20 choirs, so in the end a total of 21 made the final list. Both Andrew and Howard were incredibly impressed by the quality of all the choirs. Andrew Lloyd Webber said: "The standard of entries has been exceptional and is a credit to the dedicated music staff at the hundreds of schools which entered. It is also extremely encouraging to see such talent and enthusiasm from the pupils and gives me great hope for the future of musical theatre". Howard Goodall said: "In truth, any of these excellent 21 choirs would have been worthy winners. What's more, they are a fairly accurate reflection of the enthusiasm, the breadth, and the diversity of the other 822". The full list, arranged in alphabetical order: Alleyn's Junior School The BBC would also like to apologise again to those who experienced technical problems with the site and also to the schools, children and viewers who took a lot of time to gather support and rate entries, and to the schools and children who were in the top twenty at the close of the original vote. Please visit the Frequently Asked Questions page for more information on how the winner was chosen. We would like to thank everyone who took part in the competition, we have been absolutely amazed by the standard of the entries we've received. |
