The Semi-final Result
Ben was the unlucky Joseph not going through to the final.
The public votes counted, two Josephs would soon be fighting it out for a coveted place in next week's grand final.
After a group rendition of the Queen and David Bowie classic Under Pressure (an apt song, indeed), Graham announced that Lewis and Ben were the two Josephs with the fewest votes. Indeed, Ben became bottom with the public. The pair then stepped forward to perform the moving I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables.
After what seemed an age, Andrew made his choice, based on singing and acting workshops he had with the boys this week. He chose to save Lewis, leaving Ben to sing Close Every Door and leave the competition.
I was a tough decision - "I have to go with where the musical theatre has to go," said Andrew.
Who will win the final of Any Dream Will Do and that starring role in the West End? Tune in next week to find out.

Ben we are sad to see you go out of show, I never seen such a fighter as you! you are a true performer who is incredible to watch I do think you will be in a musical most definatley, maybe one which shows your amazing dancing skills too! my Joseph however has been Lee throughout whole competition. Sorry to see Ben go, he was a very talented performer. Lee has to win next Saturday - like Bill said, he interprets a song better than anyone I've ever seen on stage and he has the maturity to perform consistently which the other two lack because of their age.

Watched all the shows and Ben always my fave although think Lee will win. We will see Ben again as he holds the stage when he performs - unlike Lewis- nice person but not strong enough

I am so sad that Ben has gone! I screamed at the tv when Andrew Lloyd Webber said the result. I even voted for Ben. I personnaly thought that he should be in the final as he is a entertainer and has the vocals to match. I also think that overall he did the best performance of the night, including 'only you'. He shouldn't be gone!KEITH OR LEE TO WIN!

Sheer professionalism for the past few weeks,amazing how every Joseph has improved so much since the start. Difficult to choosebut Lee has the edge. Good luck Lee, will miss the final I'm on holiday with no TV ! but will have my mobile switched on.

I am gutted to see Ben go- from the first live show he's had more star quality than any of the others, my eyes were always drawn to him much more than any of the other boys. He has this amazing spark!! He just comes alive on stage- I can't wait to hear of him being flooded with offers of auditions and representation now that he's free of the show! He's going to be a huge star.

Just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed watching so much talent. It's my prayer that Daniel, Craig and Ben do not lose heart and have the support they need to find their niche in Musical theatre - they were all fantastic. Lee is definitely the best of the remaining three - very much hope he wins. Keith - your turn will definitely come!!

Lee has to win. When he performs in the group numbers your eyes and ears are drawn completely to him and follow only him. The other's don't have half the stage presence he does although they can sing. Lee showed how much better he was when doing the duet with Lewis. His voice and interpretation of the song through acting was far superior and Keith while good just doesn't say Joseph to me. If Lee doesn't win it is a travesty but if he doesn't win, then Andrew should cast him as Che in Evita instead. Don't let him ever have to understudy anyone again. The stage belongs to Lee.

I was gutted when Ben went on Sat night! My 3 year old son loves him and has even made up a song about him! We think he is raw talent and will be sorely missed in the final. Good luck for everything Ben! U will always be are favourite! xox

i really dont think ben should have went he sang the song with keith amazingly and showed that he can proform to a high standard. i hope to see ben in a westend show very soon and who knows like andrew said he left aoife go and now she is playing 2 nights a wk as maria so maybe ben will get to play a few nights of joseph - lets hope so xxx

Totally devastated that Ben has gone. He has an incredible on-stage presence and a great voice. Unlike most other contestants, including Lewis, I was ALWAYS totally captivated by his performances. I've never been to watch a musical but would definately have gon if Ben had won.

Ben should have stayed, his got more star quality than Lewis and his performance in the duet proved he could sing as well as the rest of them. I don't think he was right for the role of Joseph though, but he will definately be a star in the future, he'd be good in something like 'We Will Rock You'.

Oh what a night! Great performances all round. Would not have wanted to be in ALW's seat. But nevertheless happy with the result. Lewis, you have a great voice (better than Ben's, although he had great showmanship). The final decision will be very difficult. However,with all his background, I think Lee will win, and deserve to too. Lee to win; Keith and Lewis joint second place.

WHAT WERE YOU THINKING LORD WEBBER!!!! Ben has shown you repeatedly the strength of character needed to play Joseph. Lewis has a lovely voice but the performance is empty. Keith is a choir boy, we could not listen to him for two hours. Lets only hope in the final you have the sense to put through the only person with all the qualities needed to play Joseph-LEE!!! A special message to Ben: Don't let this rediculous result stop you in your dream-we recognise your talent and will be waiting for your name to appear on the west end stage. Oh what a night! Sad to see Ben go...he would make a great Danny.. as for Lee...What happened?? I thought he'd blown it and would be in the sing off. Thankfully, he is our Mr Wonderful and mistakes happen. He will be a fabulous, stronger Joseph because of this. Lets go on with the Jhow!!

I'm absolutely devastated that Ben has gone. I think that the other Josephs are amazing but Ben had such star quality. He was such a likeable person but even more importantly he provided us with some great entertainment. I hope so much that this isn't the last we see of Ben. If you can read this Ben I love you and don't give up. For what it's worth me and many others know that you can go on to become a huge star. Keep up the hard work the remaining Josephs. My heart lied with Ben but I will be happy to see Lee win.

It's a tough competition but there's only ever been one Joseph for my mates and I and that's Lee. He looks, sings and acts the part, if he doesn't win it will be a travesty.

I think Ben would make a better Danny from Grease than he would Joseph. He's a great dancer and Jo doesn't get to dance much. Plus he's got the whole sexy 50s rock 'n' roll thing going on and would bring across the humour in Grease really well. He's much better than those ITV Dannys
