With five Josephs to go, whose star quality shone out tonight?
The Josephs are feeling the pressure in this, the last show before the semi-final. The only way they'll make it to that much-wanted stage role is if they can wow you, the audience, in just one song. Tonight's the theme was the qualities every Joseph needs - arrogance, courage, vulnerability, betrayal and dreaming.
First up was Lee, with that favourite of wedding discos everywhere, Daydream Believer by the Monkees. But did the panel believe in his dream?
Well, Zoe certainly felt he was relaxed enough for a dreamer. Normally, she said, he holds his jaw so tight that it "gets a bit Brucie." But this time we saw "a very happy, relaxed Lee." John agreed. "Brilliant... Professional and polished." And Andrew continued to heap on the praises, joking that Lee had "got his mojo working." What a dream!
Next Ben showed off his vulnerable side with Roy Orbison's Crying. Had he managed to tug the panel's heartstrings though? The panel were impressed. "You blew a few notes," said Bill. "But you didn't go the self-indulgent twaddle that you can with that song... It was a great performance."
Zoe agreed. "We still need to work on your vibrato, because you can drive a bus through it. [But it was] a really good job for a hard song." Plus, as John pointed out, "Joseph never does have to sing that high... You could go the whole hog." Andrew finished by praising Ben's bravery in even attempting the song.
Then it was time for Craig to sing the Elvis classic, Suspicious Minds. After a wobbly result the previous week, would he betray himself with this performance? The panel thought not.
"You found the perfect line between drama and selling the song," said Bill. "You took control." Even Craig's number-one doubter, Denise, was won over. "Boy, have you blossomed," she admitted. Though she did have a little quibble. "You were a little bit too smiley at the end." But even Andrew found it in his heart to forgive Craig his smile. "You couldn't resist it," he sighed. "... but on balance, I forgive you."
Lewis stepped up next, hoping to avoid a repeat of last week's near-miss. He gave a bold performance of Hero, by Enrique Iglesias. But he wasn't heroic enough for the experts. Both and John felt that Lewis was really a pop star. "You sang that better than Enrique himself..," said John, but added, "...I don't know if you're a Joseph."
"But I thought we were looking for someone different this year," pointed out Denise. John shook his head. "He doesn't have the star quality," he claimed, to boos from the audience. Bill disagreed, saying, "I see and hear a Joseph." But what was the final word from Andrew? "Fantastic charm, but I didn't get any inner strength," confessed the impressario. "Tonight, I didn't really get my Joseph."
Last but no means least was Keith, who swaggered on stage to sing the Robbie Williams standard Let Me Entertain You. The judges were certainly entertained, and didn't mind admitting it. "You have one of the strongest voices in this competitionsaid that Keith's performance reminded her of a "young John Barrowman." She added, "the star quality is definitely there." Zoe thought so too. "Vocally for me, you really are a star... you are Jospeh." Did Andrew agree? He wasn't definite, but did let slip that Keith was at least a "potentially a great Joseph."
Finally, all five Josephs teamed up together to ask the audience, in the words of The Contours, Do You Love Me? They all hoped the answer was yes - but they wouldn't find out until later on. Who'd be hanging up their Coat of Many Colours this week? You decide...

Lee has to win. He is the only on man enough to be joseph. Keith has a great voice but is a weed, Lewis is far too young and Ben is too young as well and hasn't got a great voice.

Lee all the way - his voice is the best of the lot, though there is some other great talent there. For me though, I don't think I'd be so eager to see it if Lee wasn't Joseph!!

Lee to win - with Keith as understudy! Lewis is lovely but just not strong enough to be Joseph - maybe in a few more years. Keith again is just that bit too young to carry it off especially as Joseph ages throughout the show, but I'm sure he's got a great future ahead of him. Lee is the best all-rounder for the part.

My vote goes to Lee for the Joseph role. I would definitely take the whole family to see the musical if Lee wins the role. Ben, Lewis and Keith are all brilliant and would do really well in West End roles but I do so want Lee for Joseph. Good luck to you all boys. You have done brilliantly and your mothers should be so proud of you all.

As 17 year olds ourselves, we must say how amazed we are at lewis' talent! yes, its true that the panel have been criticising lewis for not being ready for the west end, but he has done so, so well for a 17 year old! he has an amazing voice and he looks like joseph to us! when he was in the sing off we were both in tears, he really wears his heart on his sleeve and we really admire him for being able to show his emotions better than any of the other guys! We look at Lewis and see how far he's got and it shows that it is possible to get your dream if you try, he's worked so hard and the tears show it! (we wish our own 17 year old brother was that nice!)LEWIS TO WIN!!! xxx

The show was really great on saturday, i loved their performance of 'do u love me' from Dirty Dancing, and Lee's duet in 'U raise me up' just blew me away....if he doesn't win there's no justice in the world!!

It's only Monday, and I have watched the entire show three times, but every tiny scrap of Lee too many times to count. Not a day will go by until Saturday night when I won't be re-watching his performances, gazing at his pictures, or raving about him with his many, many fans. Nobody else is so compelling, talented, genuine and versatile. You just have to watch Daydream Believer followed by his duet with Josh. They couldn't be more different yet he adapted his voice and manner to make both equally believable and riveting. In the group performances his voice and presence simply and effortlessly outshine the rest. Nobody else will do, and if by any miscarriage of justice he should end up not winning there will be many empty Joseph seats and thousands of Lee lovers flocking to whatever show has the good sense to snap him up. Andrew, you know it makes sense. Lee, I love you.

I reckon the final will be between Keith and Lee. Obviously I'm rooting for Keith cos I'm Scottish myself so a bit biased but really could be either of them!

I think Keith has the most fantastic voice, quite classical in many ways and I've no doubt that he will have a brillinat career in front of him but I just can't see him as Joseph - sorry. To be honest its a foregone conclusion that Lee will be winner - he has it all, including the stamina to perform 8 times a week. Disappointed about Craig though - I agree with a past comment Ben should have left the competition way back but then the Lord is looking for a 'popstar' type which I guess Ben could be.

i don't understand what people see in keith to be honest-i no way think he is suitable for joseph-maybe benjamin, but i don't think he has the look or the presence needed for joseph. lee is great-he really is in a league above the rest-he's so professional. love him!!

After seeing about 8 joseph shows (yes our family is obsessed!)Lewis stands out as a joseph for me, he looks the part, he is fun, young and playful and the audience warms to him and he will be brilliant at being the sad joseph.Lee has a great voice but is not joseph, he doesnt look the part and i dont think he could play the happy,young playful joseph as he is too strong Sorry Lee but you need to liven up abit and act younger!

I think ben is awsome. the only reason people are not voting for him is coz they take pity on lewis coz he is little (but he isnt going to be able to cope with the work is he) the scots vote for keith coz he is scottish, and yeh lee has got tallent but he is a proffesional so he dun find it hard to get a career in the west end. Well it looks like the "Curse of the Coat" may have been broken, but have you wondered about the "Curse of The Robinson"? On Weakest Link when people start to leave you get gaps in the row of contestants that tend to coalesce into smaller groups on one side or the other and the ones left on away from the main group seem to go quicker. The same thing seems to have happened over the weeks to the list of Josephs on the website home page. Coincidence....(Dramatic music) DA,DA DAAAA???????

I really feel sad for Craig tonight. I don't think he deserved to leave (having said that I don't think Ben did either). I think it's pretty clear that Lewis, as hard as he tries, just isn't up to the standard of the others. It was clear in his sing off with Daniel last week and it was clear in the group numbers tonight. Ben has the personality to be Joseph and it would be fantastic if the predictable ending to the show (Lee winning) didn't happen!

I think it is the right result tonight with Craig going - he didn't convince me he could act. Lee and Keith have the voices and general packages, Ben the passion (you believe what he sings even if he can't always control his voice) and Lewis is beautiful and a pleasure to watch. I would pay to see any of them on the stage but knowing the star is going to hit the notes on the night is pretty important so I would say Lee's the safe bet and Keith if we can see a bit more of an image transformation.

This show has got to be one of the best on television. I dont miss it every saturday at all and record it so i can watch it again. And i must say that CRAIG AND KEITH especially KEITH i love them so much they are totally the best in that show. But KEITH is going all the wayy. And oh yea there Scottish and Hot:D .. Wow saw a very different side of Lee today with day dream beleiver but it didn't fall short of his usual brilliance. Even with running up and down the stairs he still kept his voice amazingly completely in tact!! Lee to win!! and Lee if you're ever going to read thins you are awesome!! ;)A bit dissapointed in Ben today but he did prove to look pretty vulnerable

Every Saturday evening I look forward to hearing Graham Norton introduce the show. What fantastic entertainment. I can't wait to switch on and watch - the highlight of the show is Lee (closely followed by Andrew Llyod-Webber, who is ace)! After last Saturday's show my friends and I all agreed we would definitely pay to see Lee as Joseph! In fact, we can't wait until the show opens as we'd like to book a trip to London to see him in the starring role.

Whilst I think Lee should be the one as he seems to tick all the boxes, especially when he sings when I am totally held by his intensity. But Lewis has what none of the others have, instant wow factor the moment he walks on the stage. In the sing off last Saturday I was in tears from the passion he exibited. Yes! yes! yes! more please. I would just love to see Lewis in the final with Lee. At 17 he is just incredible. One thing I love about the show is all of the guys who made it are terrific. I think if it was just a general talent show with no specific role in mind it would be almost impossible to judge. I'm totally hooked.
