Another
of Jersey's most popular beaches, this rarely gets as crowded as
the others because of its size.
GROUVILLE
parking:
Reasonably
easy at the Gorey end of the bay. There is a large car park next to
the beach, as well as spaces across the road. Roadside parking is
also an option.
refreshments:
Several
restaurants, cafes and bars at Gorey pier and in the village, as well
as beach kiosks.
toilets:
Several
along the bay.
swimming:
Very
safe at all states of the tide, although the sea does recede a very
long way at low tide!
sunshine:
Catches
the sun all day.
shelter:
Well
sheltered, except when the wind is an easterly one.
sand:
Nearer
Gorey, the sand is dry and golden, but further along it becomes wet
and gritty.
beach
sports:
Water
skiing, wakeboarding, banana boat rides, canoeing.
