Twisted
Hate
by Sam Morrison
Revenge,
a bitter word,
Sow the seeds and reap the evil
Throw the coin and watch it sink
Watch the ripples circulate
Wider and wider
Until they engulf your soul
Hate
so that it numbs the pain
Dry your heart of warmth and love
Strike at those who oppose you
Wound as though meaning to kill
Pursue
like a hunter
Track down your subject
Destroy body and mind
Rest In the knowledge
A day has passed
A deed is done.
Grieve
as though you ever cared
Write a letter and post it on the grave
Say you are sorry
Sorry
will not erase a lifetime of hate
