| What's
your favourite film, it's a tough one as so many films mean so many
things to so many different people, which is why we asked you for
a top five instead of just one.
At
the end of August 2003 we first asked you to tell us your top five
films of all time, you voted in your masses and we now have a top
ten list for you.
 |
| Peter
Jackson, director Lord of the Rings |
There
is still time for you to change the list if you don't agree with
it, we will be taking your suggestions until the end of August 2004
when will we publish a final top ten.
Hot
off their OSCAR success with big feet, long beards and a ring to
rule them all, Lord of the Rings takes the top of the islands favourite
film of all time top ten.
It's
the first installment Fellowship of the ring that actually tops
the poll but beating classics like the italian job, and even modern
blockbusters like the Matrix, Lord of the rings second part, the
two towers is in at five.
With
another six months to go, we may see a 1,2,3 for Peter Jackson's
cinematic adaptation of the J.R.R. Tolkein classic.
Here
is the half time list for you to look at and ponder the deepest
meaning's of the films and what our choice as an island means about
our perceptions of life, or you could just go and rent a DVD, warm
up some popcorn, sit back and enjoy them.
- Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the ring
- Pulp Fiction
- Goodfellas
- Some like it hot
- Lord of the Rings: The two towers

- Shindlers list
