| This
got us thinking, which doesn't happen very often in our office.
What photo would you send of Jersey? You have just one shot to capture
the island and its identity.
What
image would say, 'This is an island that has a rich history, is
fun and energetic (because they are Martians and are bound to want
to have fun) and is a great place to be'.
We thought of photos like Corbiere lighthouse, the
Steam clock, St Brelades Bay, Liberation Square or even the airport.
These
are just ideas taken from the minds of three online journalists,
not always a good thing, so we want to know what you think.
What
single image would show Jersey and its identity?
Use the form below to tell us what you think should go
on the shuttle to Mars.
Name,
E-mail, and your response are the only required fields, but if you
could fill out the other fields it would help us get to know you
better.

| Fete de Noue just after dark, the Christmas
lights have come on and the actors (one dressed as a monster)
are dancing in the precinct. |

| St Brelade's Bay with Ouaisne |

| The Harvest Barn |

| The back lanes of St. Peter (Rue de la Caroline)
with a small herd of Jersey cows leaving the farmyard after
milking. |

| Of all the wonderful views and places you
have on Jersey, the thing that sticks firmly in my mind was my
visit to the German hospital. When you think of all the poor
souls who died digging it out it's quite an eerie place. |

| Of St Aubin's harbour taken from the sea
showing the history of the island with the fort and harbour
walls, the water sports happening in the bay and the restaurants
along the bulwarks. The perfect picture showing the diversity
of our island.w |

| From behind Corbiere Lighthouse, looking
north over St Ouen's Bay as this captures the whole essence
of Jersey; the shipping history, the beaches, the green fields,
the population and so on - currently in Australia on holiday
and you can't beat Jersey - this is why people come back year
on year. |

Heritage of Jersey |

| The splash on a packed sunny evening taken
from behind out across the bay get the martell tower and corbeire
lighthouse as the sun goes down and the waves come crashing
in. shows jersey as a vibrant place but captures the beauty,
history and fantastic scenery around St. ouen's. In one shot
captures JERSEY |

| My image of the Jersey, would be taken from
Noirmont, not the point, but somewhere in the Noirmont manor
area, with a wide angle lens to encompass, St: Aubins village
and picturesque harbour of which we have several, Bonne Nuit,
Rozel etc, The sweep of St Aubins bay showing one of our many
beautiful beaches, and St Aubins fort and Elizabeth castle as
part of the rich history of the island. |
| Simon |
| The photo would be of Gorey Castle, when
the tide is high, as the setting is ideal to show off the area,
with the boats in the foreground. Gorey as most of the island
is steeped in history, from the castle to the railway. |

| Having being born on the island & living
there for 16 years Corbiere lighthouse will all ways remind
me of the island, which will all ways have a special meaning
to me |
| Andy |
| From Noirmont Point showing the gun in the
foreground with St Aubins Bay and St Helier and possibly France
in the background, with hopefully a Catamaran ferry and other
boats going in or coming out of port, with if possible an aircraft
flying over. |
