The security guards have been hired to ride the last two buses on routes 1 and 15.

Whoah, those bouncers look proper scary. From left to right, we have ….Simon Le Bons younger and slightly chubby brother. That hypnotist from Little Britain (my eyes, my eyes look into my eyes).Gary from Eastenders. One of the zombies from Shaun of the Dead. All wearing a job lot from the last Men in Black movie.

I agree entirely Bob. It is high time that the police got back to basics and punished and named and shamed in order to get some order. Hope that is not too many ands. I got arrested when I was 16 for being drunk in the 60s. I was locked up for two days and on the Monday taken to court fined, my name was published in the paper and then when returned to my ship I was then punished by the Royal Navy. I only did it once. Result !!

It gives these people a chance to have a little bit of power. No doubt they will be asserting their "authority" when a young person does something wild, like stand up. When I am in Jersey, I regularly catch the number 15. I could do without being under permanent surveillance for the duration of my journey home.

One more thing. Can we call them 'security' or 'door person'. Bouncer is a bit un-pc, isn't it? They've got licences and everything these days. Just because they're animals doesn't mean we can't give them the respect they deserve.

Jezzebel
They look more like pallbearers. And where are their identity tags/cards on their arms. Oh i forgot they don't wear them in Jersey, unlike the uk. Surprise PC have number's in Jersey.

I'd like to have a go at these bouncers at close arm combat between the bus seats. They'd have no chance alone, because bouncers can't work alone, they need backup. gang of 2,3 lads would take them on. Anyway, simply install cctv. They have cameras all the way down king street, where nothing EVER EVER happens! i think the police use it to look at all the fit office girls between 12 and 2. I know i would.

Ruth
Its a good idea as there is alot of trouble on the late buses. Lets hope they do alot more than the ones that patrol the bus station who stand their and laugh as youths torment passers by and play Chicken withe passing cars and buses. I had to call the police!

anon 2
haha yeh he's out of it

Ashley F
Anon: yeah, how did I forget to mention that one on the far right. Shouldn't be too hard to get past Herman Munster there with his eyes rolling into the back of his head. I'm sure the other 3 teenagers will no doubt put up loooooads more resistance.

CCTV
Are there no CCTV cameras on the islands buses like in england? if so, why not. Plus the bouncer on the right played a part in Poltergeist the movie (ohhh carolaaaaaaane). Also why do bouncers always have to hold their breath to expand their chests when having a photo taken. Forget bouncers, just let the drivers have baseball bats or ninja throwing stars

Ashley F
Not a great idea in my opinion. Instead of the slim chance of the driver getting assulted they'll surely be a greater chance of the security guard getting assulted.Just get the whole bus CCTV'd up and make it quite clear that everything is being recorded and any bad behaviour will be treated severly. God bless the BBC for letting me be so opinionated.

Bobby
Its inevitable we need to employ security on public transport. Jersey is no different to anywhere else when it comes to disrespect for property and other people. Its about time a zero tolerance policy was brought in for the scum who think its ok to attack a driver.

bob
what is it with society, bpuncers on pubs, now on buses, why cant we have good old fashioned policing, don't give me all the crap we cant cope, get back to basics, if someone commits an offence of any kind lock them up, and name and shame them.

Anon
I don't know about you but the last guy looks like a stoner.
