Phil Taylor with By Special Request

Every Sunday lunchtime from 13.00, join Phil for the musical accompaniment to your Sunday lunch.

"SUNDAY"

13:00 - 15:00

By Special Request is the programme where music knows no bounds on, you request it, I'll search my record collection and play it just for you.

From the latest chart topping pop song through your favourite show tune and on to the best of the 1960s or even a favourite classical tune - if I have it I'll play it!

I am a member of Radio Lions at the General hospital and have been actively involved there since May of 1985 (just before their tenth birthday)  In 2005 I was proud to be Chairman of the association when thirty years of broadcasting were celebrated.

Thanks to the generous support of the Lions Club of Jersey, Radio Lions continues to broadcast to Jersey's hospitals and a number of residential homes as well.

I am also a member of the Jersey Amateur Radio Society, and am actively involved in training and mentoring newcomers to this fascinating hobby.  After nearly 30 years involvement I still enjoy searching out rare countries and helping the newly licensed enjoy the hobby.

I believe this programme is going to be played to John Uphoff whilst he is in hospital in Southampton. Please could you play a song that John introduced to us and always makes us laugh, it's called 'I like Chinese' but I don't know who sings it. Hurry up and get well John .
