The Team

Gwyn is the main presenter of Spotlight, but can also be seen out reporting with a camera as she is a trained Video Journalist.

Born in Berkshire she’s lived in Norfolk, Hong Kong and London where she was a journalist and national newsreader for both the BBC and ITN.

“Having married a Jersey man and started a family we decided to bring our children to Jersey and I was delighted to still be able to work as a newsreader and journalist with the BBC in the Channel Islands. 

"It may be a small team, but the enthusiasm and commitment of everyone makes it a joy to work here.

"I have covered national and international stories for many years and gained extensive experience in the media, but what’s so great about working in Jersey is that the stories we cover are so much more ‘immediate’. They are about people we all know and issues that matter to every one of us.”
