The latest historical building to be refurbished as self-catering holiday accommodation by the Jersey Heritage Trust is the La Corbiere Radio Tower. Originally built (using 5,000 bags of concrete) as an observation post by German forces during the Occupation, the tower on the island's south west coast was later used by Jersey’s marine radio. Since the restoration the tower, which has six floors, can sleep up to 6 people in three double bedrooms, it also has a fully equipped kitchen and three shower rooms. ![]() However, the piece de la resistance is the top floor lounge/dining room. With truly breath-taking views of the island, the coast and out to sea it makes the six floor climb well worth the effort.
