The girls, who were playing in the Under 11 event, travelled to Devon where they played four matches to reach the final, where they met Wiltshire.
There was nothing to split the two sides and after a thrilling display of football it was still a 0-0 draw after extra time.
Even after taking 5 penalties each, the two sides were still neck and neck and it was the turn of the goalkeepers to take a penalty; unfortunately for the island girls Wiltshire just managed to get the edge and slip one past the keeper.
After being declared the Southwest region runners up the JCG Prep girls will still get to travel to Keele in June to represent the Channel Islands in the National Finals.
Coach James Paul said that “the girls had a great day and the game was played in the true spirit”.
The team was as follows: Romy Smith, Anna Fenton, Lucy Le Lievre, Lauren Le Moignan, Laura Singleton, Helena Eeles, Amelia Jones and Georgia Stevenson.
