Re the item yesterday about BBC correct pronunciation, I think it was suggested that for the first time the OUP is publishing a book on the subject. I have a booklet first published by the BBC in 1981, "The Spoken Word", "A BBC Guide", written by Robert Birchfield, Chief Editor of the Oxford English Dictionaries. So the Beeb has already come clean a long time ago!
