Speakers Corner gives you, our users, the opportunity to write an article on a subject you’re passionate about, to tell us a story or give us a report. You can write about anything from health care to entertainment. You might want to right about lobbying your States Member or it may be that you just want to share your favourite recipe with us, we’re open to all ideas. We are trying to make this website more than just a place to read the latest news a sport, yes we do give you that as well but we want this site to be for you and who better to write content you’re into than well - you!. Be on TV As part of that we are launching a publicity scheme across BBC Radio Jersey and BBC ONE in the Channel Islands to encourage islanders to get involved. As part of that we will be making a trail with the Spotlight Channel Islands team that will go out on BBC ONE before the 18:30 bulletin. We need six people to help us make this 30 second trail, this involves two different roles: Walking and Talking We need one person who can walk and talk into a camera at the same time, you will introduce and close the trail as well as speak over the end graphic. On the soapbox We also need five people who can stand on a soapbox outside key locations around the island and say one or two words (such as health, entertainment or education).
