The British Government is on the hunt to find the thing that most defines England and being English, but what about Jersey? Some of the nominations for England’s icon include Zippy, the Routemaster Bus, Black Cabs and the Red Post Box.

Other nominations include A Cup of Tea, Fawlty Towers and Alice in Wonderland. These are all things that say England, what we want to know is what says Jersey to you? If someone asks you to tell them the most iconic thing about Jersey or about being from Jersey what do you tell them? We want to find an icon for Jersey, one thing that stands above all others as the most instantly recognisable icon of Jersey. If we follow the rules set out in the English list it could be a TV show, a book, an object, a person or even a food. As long as it instantly says Jersey it can be anything or anyone.
