Dancing for Children in Need

See BBC Radio Jersey's Edward Sault and Lynsey Beahan trying their hand at Strictly Come Dancing. After four hours of intensive training they finally cracked the one minute routine, helped by Pudsey!

BBC Radio Jersey's Edward Sault and Lynsey Beahan are fans of ballroom dancing, in fact they're taking lessons.

They decided it would be fun to try their hand at re-creating the BBC ONE Salsa ident for BBC Children in Need - with the help of Pudsey Bear.

We asked Edward and Lynsey why they wanted to do this.

"Being fans of the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, we decided we should do our very own! We wanted to mimic the BBC One Salsa ident that gets played before programmes.

"Helped by Jean and Ken Jones, who teach us ballroom and latin dancing each week, we attempted to get to grips with Salsa-which is far harder than it looks!!! Jean's patience was certainly tested!

"Having learnt the moves and grooves to the best of our abilities, we headed to the Town Hall to put our skills to the test!

We were delighted to have Pudsey Bear along for morale support, although he rather stole the show! Our routine was filmed by BBC Spotlight as we danced to the official music!"

You can watch their ident below.
