Ryan Morrison caught up with Chris from Kasabian backstage at the Jersey Live music festival while they were preparing to take to the stage. In the interview Chris talks about his favourite bands, Oasis hitting it hard while on tour and getting ready to tour the USA. The interview also touches on the Jersey Live music scene and the bands thoughts on music generally right now. They talk about not having one particular inspiration for their sound, just a love of music, that has helped form where they are musically. And they finish off talking about their next album, that they go into the studio to record after the Oasis tour. They tell Ryan how it will take a different direction, that it will be the 'little sister to the big album' and that it will be 'more organic'.
The interview was recorded and broadcast as part of BBC Radio Jersey's (88.8fm & 1026mw) coverage of the Jersey Live music festival that included interviews with local and headline bands as well as regular news and reports on the festival.
