Eddie from Art Brut

Art Brut

Ryan Morrison
Ryan Morrison caught up with Eddie from Art Brut for a chat in the middle of filming the video for their new single.

Eddie Argos from Art Brut took time out of filming the video for their new single, Good Weekend, to chat to Ryan Morrison about coming to Jersey.

"I don't know what genre we belong"
Eddie, Art Brut

Eddie talks to us about being obsessed with Jonathan Richmond, liking Kaiser Chiefs, the Rakes lyrics and pop music generally.

He tells us that the stories behind his songs are all true, that Emily Kane really was his ex-girlfriend and that Bad Weekend was about him being grumpy - about everything.

He talks about coming to Jersey and having his photo taken by Bergerac's car and his granddad having a walking stick made out of cabbages - also from Jersey.

Eddie tells us about playing Route du Rock and catching a sock in the middle of a song, then signing it and giving it back.

Then Ryan and Eddie talk about how the songs on the album Bang Bang Rock and Roll are almost like a book but without paragraphs.

James
Seen Art Brut 3 times now, and each time they just seem to get better and better, On top form yesterday and have seemed to won over a lot of new Art Bruisers here in Jersey, good to see they are getting the recognition they deserve. Top band! TOTP!

Katie
I saw Art Brut today at Jersey Live and I've never heard of them before but I think they are really funny, and pretty wild :D
