Full Lineup

Jersey Live 2005 is accurately being described as 'the friendliest & most southerly Live Music Festival in the UK' by organisers Positiv, and the friendliest part comes from some of the awesome bands that played here in 2004.

Last year we were treated to the incredible sounds of Razorlight, The Thrills, Subways, The Open and Delays for what was an incredible day of music.

This year things are getting bigger and better as the island gets ready to play host to some of the biggest and most important bands of the new musical revolution.

Playing the Positiv main stage, the headline acts confirmed so far include some of the hottest bands of right now from the UK and the USA.

Positiv Main Stage:
KASABIAN
The Bravery
The Futureheads
The Ordinary Boys
The Black Velvets
Art Brut

As well as the brilliant headline bands and what will be a great set of local bands there is also a dance arena, we have already reported on the top DJs playing the arena but incase you missed it here they are again.

Theory Dance Arena:
2 Many Djs (BEL)
The Glimmer Twins (BEL)
Sammy Jo (USA) (UK)
The Mixologists (UK)
Cutmaster Swift (UK)

The Bravery
The Bravery

Keep it local

If all of that wasn't enough then you are greedy, it should be - actually you do get more ... much more.

Playing alongside the incredible headline bands you will be able to catch some of the best bands the island has to offer.

The OK's
Bulletproof
Velofax
Jackson Moody Band
Killian
The Valentines

Laura and Ria
This was So much fun! I dont think there was 1 sober person there!! Wow we spent over 100 quid on just 5 of us! Its crazy, but was deffinatly worth it!!

Random pub crawler #1
That was a most excellent festival!!! i aint sayin much else today... but Future heads and Kasabian rocked more socks than i could ever own in my drawer!

matthew
i went last nite n it were class the best gig ive ever been 2 and trust me ive seen quite alot

Andy K
With no Glastonbury next year, now is the time for Jersey live to look at expansion, if the isle of white can do it so can we, 2nd stage and over 2 days with on site camping?? Any Michael Eavis esque land owners out there volunteering their land for it??

steph
yup, your not allowed to bring food or drink and last year they were searching bags!. im sure we could find away round that tho ;)

Jesus
do they sell tickets on the door for £40???

Holly
Re: Jim Rhesus. Didn't realise you would be reading what I wrote! Lol. *Blushes*. It's true dat, though; I thought you were a totally class act...come back next year (or sooner!) Re: Sophie. Good taste that girl :)

Jayne
I don't mind paying for the tickets 'cos of the line up, but is it true you're not allowed to bring your own food and beverage?

smithers
Fair play jersey, we are all heading over from your neighbouring island and am dead jealous at the line ups you can attract compared to our 'charlotte church' who doesn't even turn up!! Can wait for sat!

Sophie
Heya, Yeh Rhesus were amazing Holly! hey does anyone know wot times each act is on the mainstage?

Steve
It looks like it'll be a hot one. I note that the tickets state that people are restricted to bringing in one 500ml bottle of water each. I think it is highly irresponsible of the organisers if this rule in enforced and people are expected to pay club prices for water on a hot day.

Rob
SOLD OUT! Does anybody have 2 spare tickets? Good offer will be made.

Jim Rhesus
Re to holly, glad you thought we were awesome, I am going to this one with Art Brut but we arent playing :(

help
how can i get a ticket everywer has run out!

Happy happy!
IT'S LIEK 3 DAYS TO GO!! I AM SO EXCITED!! ...Wish der was sum metal though...

Ed
I agree the line up is great but more variety is needed for it to grow cant wait tho!!!

Ryan (Host)
I don't know about the football game but to be honest I think most people will probably be there for the music anyway, a chance to see bands you wouldn't normally see in Jersey.

You could always take a portable radio, tune it to 88.8fm and listen to the game live on BBC Radio Jersey.

As for what time the bands start, the first band on stage is Bulletproof at around 12pm.

Kick off for the match is around 3pm and you will miss Velofax and The Black Velvets if you decide to leave the festival during match time.

laney
Are they showing the england vs wales game one a big screen and what time are the bands on Does anyone know ?

Holly
Are tickets still available for this? Sounds hot. Love the extension of the festival season into September. Went to the Vale earth fair on Guern this w/e and saw an AWESOME band called Rhesus. Anyone else??

JEGARD
Omerta are a bit like the Beatles. Beatlenanza!!! (MANIA) love JEGARD

Tom
yea omerta rule!! it sucks that theres no metal on the list, o well hopefully next year

DH
Wheres the variety in this years and last years show ma hommies? We got local talent but not for the younger groups supporting rock/metal. Omerta shud defo b on the scene along with Suzys field!

Ryan (Host)
All the local bands were chosen after a battle of the bands contest at the Havana club a few months ago, to be able to take part in the contest you needed to send your demo into Positiv by a certain date (early June I think).

I expect the format to be similar for next year so get a demo into Positiv before June 06 to be considered (not 100% certain it will be the same though).

Dave
Get Omerta on there! They ripped it up at the battle of the bands and would be perfect for some festival mosh pits!

Daniel
i agree with some people on this Lee and Matt both have mentioned the band Omerta rising wel in the island and getting a good name for them selves the drummer and lead guitarist are particually good

Fifi
its gonna be so cool the headline is AMAZING!!! i agree with max, please make sure there are more drinks and servers!

Bettie
such a wicked headline this year! its gonna be a kickass day- too bad i have to go with my dad... :(

Lisa
Wheeey!! not long to go now!!!!!!! cant wait! goin b buzzin!

Bobby
Benny The Month - awesome band, saw them last year. They rocked!

Nosey Parker
Would somebody please write a profile for the OK's? The band is genius and underexploited. And there's nowhere to click to for them above. Hemmmmmm. I heard Bulmer's Ale is the sponsoring beverage. And they'll be mixing shandies for the real lightweights. Hahahahahahahahahaha! N.P.

max crawford
jersey live is less than a month away! l'am well excited this in going to be a top night! However if their could be more people serving in the drink stand this year it would be superb!

WillR again
I was getting at the fact that Sarah said kashier. You're all defending a band whos name you can't spell! I hope this comment gets deleted, It's completely irrelevant.

Anna
So happy that the Ordinary Boys r comming, they are FIT!!!

Jim Rhesus (gsy/london)
I am coming over with Art Brut, they are the ones to watch, apart from that 2manyDJ's www.rhesus.info (we are headlingng discharge stage at the vale earth fair) and check out www.artbrut.org.uk TOTP

the doctor
lauren its kaiser!!! JERSEY LIVE PLEASE TELL US WHAT ALCHOLIC BEVERAGE IS SPONSERING JERSEY LIVE THIS YEAR. PLEASE XX

Lauren(Gsy)
Ahh this lineups good but will u all stop saying 'kashier'!?!?!

the doctor
its spelt kaiser

Lee
Kaiser Chiefs are pretty crappy when you think a bout it.... repetative lyrics repetative riffs/bass lines all a bit repetative come to think of it. I wish they would broaden there aspects on peoples taste of music this year....... Indie dont appeal to everyone.....especially me! Sort it out!.....NOW!!!!

Sean
i think that they r good, well they were at Glastbury (sp)i love there song, Oh My God

Adam
whats wrong wit hthe Kashier Chiefs you say... WHATS WRONG WITH THE KASHIER CHIEFS?!?! I'LL TELL YOU WHATS WRONG WITH THE KASHIER CHIEFS.. THEY SUCK!!!

Amy
whats wrong with the Kashier Chiefs!!!!

Redd
What are you going to do with the public transport? Last year was a joke....... Is charlie going to there??? "Rock on"

WillR (Guernsey)
'Kashier Chiefs' hahaha On a more seriouse note, beer should be both more plentiful and cheaper than last year please! This is set to be one awesome party though. Anyone got somewhere for 4 traveling blokes to spend the night afterwards?

Sarah
you should get Kashier Chiefs or Hard Fi

george
whats the beer this year

Matt
I think there needs to be a greater variation of music at Jersey Live. Has it not occured to the organisers that mainstream music doesn't appeal to everyone? Notice like every band on the main stage is indie. Get some metal in there, please. Employ local band Omerta or something if you can't get anyone. Or even some hip hop. Just broaden the genres.

Scott Mills
The line looks good but I wish they could have tried to get Erasure, The Communards or The Pet Shop Boys. Or even Boy George . He was my favourite.

Jon
Kasabian and The Futureheads have both got a lot more going for them than The Foo Fighters in a lot of ways (not that I'd exactly shun The Foos!) - the latter are way overrated based on Dave Grohl's Nirvana history - The Colour & The Shape was their only really good album, a long time and three albums ago now...

Glen
No Chilli's again

Pam
Looking forward to it but i hope the bar is well stocked this year with Strongbow ran out far too early last year!

Lee
Whats happened to the music scene? Were are the local upcoming band OMERTA? Given one of the best reviews in the JEP.

Guernsey inhabitant
OH MY GOD im currently trying to engineer a trip to the festival im so hyper!! amazing lineup i love all the bands!

max crawford
what a line up this is going to be one empire night. Can't wait

jonny (bl skies 500 stallions)
dear god help me.... ....friendliest...oh i am terribly sorry but i didnt realise jersey had to have a music friendly scene??? jolly old hockey sticks bring on the scones and tea i say back in the day jersey used to be the scene for all the bands, beatles to iron maiden....love to metal....friendly to not-so-friendly so lets try again..next year..please nice to see plenty of local talent as well

Dd
Last year's was great same the Kings of Leon aren't coming but can't wait for 2many Dj's!!

Nicola
Can't wait for this summer and especially this festival, its gonna be even better than last year. Shame about the bravery though...!

Miss Dolly Mixture
Owwwww if Turin Brakes were gonna be there .. Id go maddddddddd .. more than now

Phil
Try and add the Foo Fighters to that line up please, because they are touring the U.K this summer

May
last years line up was brilliant, this years is going to be AMAZING! Can't wait!
