International Air Display

Red Arrows

Arrows of Desire

From the Red Arrows, to people standing on an Utterly Butterly plane, right through to an extreme air race and the Nimrod, this year's Jersey International Air Display is set to be a scorcher, and it's sunny too.

There will be many familiar attractions including the Red Arrows and the Helicopter display on Peoples Park but there are also some real highlights in this years display.

If you think Xtreme Ironing is mad wait until you see the Air Race. This year won't be quite as extreme as a full-on air race as it's just a demonstration but it is hoped that in future a full race will be one of the highlights of the display.

The demonstration will have several aircraft appearing to race around St Aubins Bay, using prominent landmarks as turning point.s

They'll be pretending to have a race in the air, but won't be allowed to overtake each other for safety reasons. Display organiser Mike Higgins has said he hopes to have proper air races in the island in future.

As well as the air display you will have the Utterly Butterly wing walkers, the Hawk, Tornado and the Harrier, and if that wasn't enough there is also going to be a display by the Black Cats helicopter display team.

All of that is just a very small part of what you will see at this years Jersey International Air Display.

Have Your Say

John, Stockport.
I was camping in St. Brelade and the Red Arrows flew right over my tent! It was amazing!

L.B.
I agree with jane and les jones it really was the best yet with new planes like the sea plane and Chinook

jane
i thought the display was brilliant this year, with a lot of new planes, stalls etc!!!. we want many more years of the air display, and for the record, and in my view it should be made a public holiday. what do other people think of it being made a public holiday.

LES JONES
The best yet
