This
year's Battle is promising to be as successful as previous events,
with 30 floats taking part. The main spectacle - the parade along
the avenue - will once again be full of colour and sound.
Along
with the floats, Miss Battle will be a focal point of the parade.
This year, Hannah Tully has been crowned, and will be greeting the
crowds accompanied by Tracey de Castro, her Maid of Honour.
The
Battle of Flowers parade takes place on Thursday 14th August, and
is followed on Friday 15th by the Moonlight Parade.
You
can purchase tickets in advance by using the contact information
below. Alternatively, tickets will be available on the day at the
entrances to the parade area.
BBC
Jersey will be bringing you closer to the action with live coverage
on BBC Radio Jersey (88.8 FM & 1026 MW) on Thursday 14th August
2003, from 13.30 - 17.00. The
programme will be hosted by Murray Norton, with roving reporters
Colin Bray and John Uphoff. Matthew
Price will be joining Murray to commentate on the parade.
From
17.40 - 19.00 Lisa Bradley is at Millbrook Park for the announcement
of the winning entries for the 2003 Battle of Flowers.

Spurr and Kristina Moore host a special edition of BBC Spotlight
