Joe Blair

Is mise Joe Blair. Tá mé ag imirt d'fhoireann faoi sé déag Dhún na nGall. Imrím mar leathchúlaí. D'éirigh mise ar maidin ar a cúig a chlog le dul síos go Baile Átha Cliath. Tá muid ag fáil turais thart ar Pháirc an Chrócaigh ar an haon a chlog agus tá an chéad chluiche in éadan Doire. Is onóir iontach mór atá ann imirt do Dhún na nGall. Onóir iontach mór le himirt i bPáirc an Chrócaigh.

Tá muid ar an bhus anois go Baile Átha Cliath leis na cluichí a imirt. Tá muid ag coimhéad DVD den dara cluiche deireanach a bhí againn in éadan Sligigh. Tá seo maith mar insíonn sé dúinn na rudaí a gcaithfidh muid bheith ag obair orthu roimh an chéad chluiche eile.

Tá muid díreach i ndiaidh Páirc an Chrócaigh a shroicheadh anois agus tá mé iontach neirbhíseach anois faoin chluiche in éadan Doire. Tá na naoi gcontae uilig anseo inniu agus beidh achan duine ag imirt dhá chluiche inniu. Tá muidne ag imirt Doire agus Tír Eoghain ar a ceathair. Tá mé iontach neirbhíseach anois nuair a fheicim an pháirc agus cé chomh mór leis nó an bhfuil sé róghasta dom. Rud iontach speisialta atá ann bheith ábalta imirt ar an pháirc imeartha a raibh cuid mhór de do laochra féin uirthi. Bíonn tú neirbhíseach, níl tú ag iarraidh a dhath ciotach a dhéanamh ar an pháirc ach ag iarraidh imirt go maith. Tá an teaghlach s'againn anseo inniu le hamharc orainn agus ag iarraidh imirt go maith roimhe s'acusan.

Tá muid ullmhaithe go maith, tá mé ag déanamh agus tá muid ag déanamh traenála achan seachtain, go crua agus achan mhaidin Sathairn ag traenáil i rith an tsamhraidh agus tá muid ullmhaithe go maith fána choinne seo.

Tá mé iontach sásta, bhí an cluiche iontach deacair ansin ach bhain muid agus sin an rud is tábhachtaí agus rud iontach speisialta imirt ar an pháirc agus b'fhéidir nach bhfaighidh muid an seans arís, anois, rud iontach speisialta atá ann.

Bhí an lá iontach maith. Tá muid tuirseach anois i ndiaidh lá iontach fada ach rud iontach a bhí ann ach tá mé ag iarraidh dul chun an bhaile anois! Lá iontach maith a bhí ann.

Joe Blair

I'm Joe Blair. I play for the Donegal under-16 team. I play as a half-back. I got up this morning at five o'clock to go down to Dublin. We're getting a tour of Croke Park at one and the first game is against Derry. It's a wonderful honour to play for Donegal. A great honour to play in Croke Park.

We're on the bus now to Dublin to play the games. We're watching a DVD of our second last game against Sligo. This is great because it tells us the things we have to work on before the next game.

We have just arrived at Croke Park and I'm very nervous now about the game against Derry. All the nine counties are here today and everybody will be playing two games. We're playing Derry and Tyrone at four. I'm very nervous now when I see the pitch and how big it is or is it too fast for me. It's something very special to be able to play on the field where so many of your heroes played. You are nervous. You don't want to do anything wrong on the pitch but you want to play well. Our families are here today to watch us and you want to play well in front of them.

We're well prepared, I think, and we've been training every week, working hard and every Saturday morning, training during the summer and we're well prepared for this.

I'm very pleased, the game was very tough there but we won and that's the most important thing and it was very special playing on the pitch and maybe we won't get the chance again, now, it is very special.

It was a great day. We're tired now after a long day but it was wonderful and I want to go home now! It was a great day.
