The map will open on an aerial view of Ireland.

You can navigate around the map by clicking and dragging or using the up, down, left and right arrows in the circle in the top left corner. Alternatively, you can use your keyboard’s arrow keys.

To zoom in or out use the icons in the magnifying glasses to the left of the map.

To view an entry on the map, click on the pin point and it will open. To close an entry, click on the X in the top right corner of the pop up. In addition to this, you can use the scrolling wheel on your mouse: (roll forward to zoom in and roll backwards to zoom out).

There are different versions of the map eg. place names, family names, events. You can view them all at once or one at a time. Tick the boxes on top of the map to make your choice.
