World Radio Day. Some new technologies supporting community radio, including open-source broadcast management software, an SMS application to aid listener interaction, and a wind-up solar radio

Guy Berger describes the thinking behind the day; from an event held at London's School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), some of the sharpest new technologies for developing community radio, including open source broadcast management software, a powerful wind-up solar receiver and MP3 player, and an SMS application for building listener interaction.
