Sam Taylor-Wood OBE, visual artist and director of Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy, hosts an hour of her favourite music plus the stories behind her choices.
Presented by Sam Taylor-Wood OBE, visual artist & director of 2009's ' Nowhere Boy' a biopic based on John Lennon's childhood. On a Month of Sundays Sam hosts an hour of her music choices with stories about REM and hear why she chose other tracks by The Last Shadow Puppets and there's a Beatles artist in there but unbelievably not Lennon! Other film work Sam's directed includes a short film Love You More, written by Patrick Marber and produced by Anthony Minghella. The film includes two songs by Buzzcocks and features a cameo appearance by the band's lead singer Pete Shelley. Listen to Sam chatting about working with The Buzzcocks. This year Michael Stipe asked her to direct the music video of "Überlin" by R.E.M. and just gave her free reign, it's a great little video starring her fiancé Aaron Johnson, you'll hear in the show about Aaron and his moves...
