Radio 1's Ras Kwame tells us how UK Garage broke through to the mainstream when So Solid Crew hit the charts with 21 Seconds. Plus, in the year that launched 24, Scrubs and Six Feet Under, Grimmy chats to Idris Elba aka Stringer Bell from The Wire about the success of American TV this decade.

We catch up with all the movie news from the year that saw the arrival of the first Harry Potter film on our screens. And we find out how a single New York band changed the face of music for the rest of the decade to come with their brand of guitar music, skinny jeans and converse trainers. We're talking about perhaps one of THE most influential bands of this decade - The Strokes.

Finally, there's no getting away from the fact that the single event to overshadow 2001, indeed the entire decade, was 9/11. The attack on the Twin Towers changed everything.
