Alternative Therapies: Reflexology

Alternative Therapies - 2. Reflexology

Professor Kathy Sykes investigates traditional healing. Reflexologists claim that the body is mapped onto the soles of the feet, and that pressing particular points can help with medical problems. In Florida, Kathy meets the nephew of the woman who coined the term reflexology. She meets a reflexologist in Sheffield who claims to cure infertility. Many medical professionals doubt reflexology is of any benefit, but a professor in Hull says it helps cancer patients feel relaxed. (R)
