Countryfile - Sun, 23 Mar 2008

Rural and agricultural news. John Craven visits Whitby to find out how the Yorkshire town played a pivotal role in deciding how and when Easter should be celebrated. Today the town is home to an order of nuns whose worship is inspired by the countryside around them. Miriam O'Reilly investigates the plight of the rural schools facing closure and Juliet Morris finds out about the very latest in eco-housing.

Plus the challenge of re-thatching Anne Hathaway's cottage in Stratford-upon-Avon, and British Sea Power, the indie-rock band who draw inspiration from the countryside. (R)
