Coulson - Yorkshire and Lincolnshire's new presenter|
My name's Jamie Coulson and I'll be fronting Inside Out when it returns in September
It's great to be joining the programme and I'll be bringing you more
surprising stories from our region.
I've been living and working in Yorkshire
for the last six years.
I've worked in both radio and television, covering
some of the region's biggest stories.
I moved to Leeds in 2001 to retrain
as a journalist, studying for a post graduate diploma at Trinity & All Saints
College, which is part of Leeds University.
I started my career at Radio
Leeds where, after a year as working as a reporter, I became the news reader on
the breakfast show.
The incessant 4am starts were definitely a contributing
factor to the onset of grey hair!
After that I moved to Look North where
I worked as a reporter for two years.
In between all this I also spent
a year working as a video journalist in the Midlands helping to set up a brand
new, more localised television service.
I love working in television because you get to see
and do things that would normally be impossible.
I was born in Macclesfield,
which some might say is on the wrong side of the Pennines.
If you want to
find me at the weekend, I'll most likely be on a hillside somewhere in the Yorkshire
I'm really looking forward to joining the team at BBC Yorkshire and
Lincolnshire Inside Out.
Don't forget to join me on Inside Out from
mid September 2007 at 7.30pm on BBC One.
