SubvertisingLast
year almost £20 billion was spent in the UK on advertising. Approximately
£1 billion of this went on street adverts - more than double the amount
spent 10 years ago.
Wherever you go
its sell, sell, sell.
But there's an underground movement of people who are getting fed up with
the boom in consumerism. And they're fighting back by changing the messages
on the billboards. It's called "subvertising" and Inside Out
West has discovered that Bristol is a hot bed for this kind of activity. Links

Dilger discovers stunning wildlife at Ebbor Gorge |
Ebbor GorgeYou've
heard of Cheddar Gorge and the Avon Gorge, but Inside Out West has been exploring
a lesser known natural wonder. Hidden away in the Mendips, Ebbor Gorge
is no less magical than its more famous neighbours. In fact, with no traffic
running along the bottom, it's a real hotspot for finding some fantastic wildlife.
Mike Dilger spent a whole day in the gorge to discover bellflowers, bats and butterflies.
